Organic Oolong Tea
When consumed on the regular basis, Oolong tea helps burn fat faster by raising your metabolism, lowers cholesterol, increases mental alertness, and strengthens the immune system.
Profits from this inspiring blend will help fund the arts. The arts, a community's soul, connect us to each other and the human condition. Without them, we'd be emotionally dead. And you can't drink tea when you're dead.
Organic Green Tea
Green tea is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. These include a lower risk of cancer, improved brain function, fat loss, stress reduction, anti-aging and anti-allergy benefits.
Profits from this tea will fund supportive services for patients and their families. We all have been touched in some way by a cancer diagnosis. In honor of the indefatigable spirit that rises to meet this challenge, we offer a blend of green teas. We hope it delights your taste buds, soothes your soul, and offers you joy.
Organic Black Tea with Natural Meyer Lemon Flavor
This tea has many of the health benefits associated with black tea. Meyer lemons are a cross between a lemon and mandarin orange. They are a burst of lemon flavor without the lip-puckering tartness. The juicy lemony taste and fragrant aroma of this tea is a delight any time of day, hot or iced.
Profits from this tea will fund LGBTQ groups, as well as transgender youth through their transitioning. Water envelops the tea bag, which then blooms and reaches its potential. We support the LGBTQ community in its brave expression reflected proudly in this vibrant blend.
Our Roots
In the late 1800’s, T. Bache Bleecker and Harriman N. Simmons founded Bleecker & Simmons Tea in New York City where it flourished during the Edwardian Age in America. As partners, they moved their business in 1918 from Greenwich Street to 90 Front Street where they donated part of their four-story building to the Committee for the Coffee, Tea, and Spice. The Simmons Spice Mill, a trade publication, is known to have supported the manufacturing of paper products rather than tin in an effort to support troops during World War I. The Great Depression and ill health caused the business to decline.
